Please keep in mind that over 100 000 Dutch Jews were murdered by German (ultra)National Socialists during WWII.

Dutch Town Plays German Anthem on National Memorial Day
It has now become known that for a number of years on National Memorial Day, 4 May, the German anthem is played at the official commemoration for the dead on the island of Schiermonnikoog. Last week, a judge forbade the mayor of the town of Vorden to commemorate German soldiers on National Memorial Day by visiting their graves. The judge said that commemoration of German soldiers cannot be done on 4 May and not together with the victims of the Nazi regime.
A small Dutch Jewish organization, the Federation Jewish Netherlands had asked the judge to do so and will now investigate at how many other Memorial Day commemorations the German occupiers are commemorated. The 100,000 murdered Dutch Jews are by far the largest group of victims of the German occupation in the Netherlands.
