Rochdale grooming trial: Police accused of failing to investigate paedophile gang for fear of appearing racist

Police and social workers were last night accused of failing to investigate an Asian paedophile gang for fear of being perceived as racist, allowing them to prey on up to 50 young white girls.

  1. Interesting final comment by the Chief Superintendent . . congratulating the police and CPS for the professionalism they demonstrated in “withstanding pressure both internally and externally”.

    I can’t imagine there would be one supporter of TT who would condone any activity that had even a hint or whiff of abuse of minors.

    Would one not assume that in instances where child abuse is a possibility, considerations relating to their psychological wellbeing and welfare would always trump any consideration of political correctness?

    How on earth is it possible – how on earth is it conceivable that potential long term psychological damage to children or young women and girls would not be the primary consideration when investigating criminal behaviour of this nature – regardless of issues of religion and/or ethnicity??

  2. The bravery of victims is always extolled when the community and authorities who should have or could have protected them fail to act.

  3. Leadership comes from the top. The criticism should be focused on the top. That’s where the direction is coming from and they are the ones who let it happen. Somebody is letting the policemen and social workers take the blame while they hide.
