This is the direct result of having a top => down driven society, in which the government, and its permanent (unelected) bureaucracy chooses the winners and losers in society, whether it be social groups or businesses. The former is a product of multicultural policies, the latter, wealth distribution.
People, if you want a bigger say in your affairs, you have to ready and willing to promote smaller/limited government, defund the welfare state, and resume personal responsibility. Socialism/utopia is a fools’ errand.
