Once again the subject of the Islamic slave trade comes to the surface. The reason why the Tundra Tabloids calls it the ‘Islamic slave trade’, is due to Islam’s sanctioning of the abominable practice. If not for the intervention of the Christian West -which itself was involved in the slave trade, but for a much shorter period- there would still be widespread slavery throughout the Middle East and Maghreb.

Yes the West disgraced itself by becoming involved in the slave trade, but lets be clear about it, large portions of the Christian West always abhorred the practice, and sought for its eventual elimination. That stems from the Christian belief that all men are created equals, regardless of race, religion and ethnicity. Over 650 000 men died during the American Civil War, a huge price in blood to pay for the sin of slavery, but in Islam, well, no such event ever occurred. KGS
