Muslims defy outdoor prayer ban in France

PARIS — Hundreds of Muslims defied a French ban on outdoor prayer — which came into force Friday –and took to the streets and sidewalks of Paris to pray.

The French government announced Thursday it was banning praying outside, with officials pledging to enforce the ban from Friday.

But 200 Muslims ignored the ban and prayed on the streets in the neighborhood of La Goutte d’Or, Le Parisien newspaper reported.

French interior minister Claude Gueant said he had nothing against Islam but wanted it out of the public eye because France was a secular state.

  1. It looks to me like a case of too little too late, IMHO it’s the regime trying to hold on to votes by supposedly demonstrating a ‘tough’ stance on Islamic supremacy and regional domination’. Little will be done, the French and other governments have failed their citizens miserably. All the people get is a little lip service (BS), and false promises that something will be done as to the rising Muslim population and the ‘complex’, social, economic, and political problems that accompany it. The largest of which is, where is the money going to come from to pay for all of these ‘immigrants’, who are mostly uneducated, refuse to assimilate and lack work or social skills? They will be a permanent drain on already fragile EU budgets. When citizens cannot walk freely in their own country and are harassed, insulted, assaulted, and their true needs of safety and security ignored by the political elites it is truly a very sad state of affairs.

  2. They disobey the law of the land, the nation that has given them shelter and a decent life.

Boot them all out. Their posteriors are conveniently positioned.

  3. Praying Muslims provide perfect targets for water cannon training.
