  1. Read both books. Zayed’s book is 95% personal attack on Spencer. Reading Zayed’s book, I sometimes think he is amazed and maybe put out by a non-muslim asking him questions and doubting his statements about the koran and its meaning. He argues from absolutes and uses analogies which make little if no sense to Western readers. This book is important as a window on how muslim imams view the world around them. If it is an apologetic aimed an non-muslims, it misses its mark.
