  1. This speech is such a classic! It clearly demonstrates the benefit of identifying your enemy clearly and confronting it, fearlessly.

    Even the most fearsome enemy can be weaker than it seems. The Soviet Union faltered and collapsed 8 years later, without the fears of either conventional or nuclear war coming true, fortunately.

    World leaders could, when facing the Islamist threat, wisely imitate Reagan rather than Carter.
