There certainly is a lack of understanding, most rational folks understand that the Prophet wanted all of us Infidels converted, killed, or enslaved and the entire planet turned into one big Islamic paradise. Now this is the tricky thing: looking at the picture, most people would identify him as modern or moderate, but there’s more to being moderate. There is more to being moderate than looking moderate. I think a lot of people get fooled by people like him.
I would like to believe that there are a lot of moderates out there, but if I see pro-Hamas demonstrations there are a lot of people. Never once did I see an anti-terror demonstration by muslims and this is a very disturbing fact!
