ISLAMABAD: The American ambassador to Pakistan, Cameron Munter visited the Faisal Mosque alongwith his wife.
The entourage, which also included other high-ranking American diplomats, was received by vice president of International Islamic University Islamabad, (IIUI), Parveen Qadir Agha, and khateeb of Faisal Mosque, director Dawaa Academy, Dr. Sahibzada Sajid Ul Rehman, and various heads of departments.
The American ambassador paid keen interest in various departments and parts of the Mosque, including rare Quranic transcripts, and also lauded the services rendered by various departments of Faisal Mosque.
The vice president of IIUI, Parveen Qadir Agha expressed her profound gratitude over ambassador’s first ever-official visit to the Faisal Mosque, declaring it as a good omen.
At the conclusion of the visit, the American ambassador was presented with shield of Dawaa Academy, and a volume of Islamic publications, by the Mosque khateeb and director Dawaa Academy, Professor Dr. Sahibzada Sajid-Ur-Rehman.
