PAKISTAN’S ISI BURNING THE CANDLE AT BOTH ENDS…….

In spite of the denials, Pakistan’s ISI intelligence service has got some serious credibility problems. The spy/intelligence agency is up to its eyeballs with the Taliban, with some leaders being “more Taliban minded than the Taliban themselves”.

Thanks to Kitman for this video on the ISI, which interestingly enough, happens to mean “daddy” is Finnish. The video, shot in 2001 holds nothing back in its claim that the ISI are working hand in hand with the Taliban, it seems that after all the billions dumped into the ISI from the US, nothing has changed.

[…] The documents, made available by an organization called WikiLeaks, suggest that Pakistan, an ostensible ally of the United States, allows representatives of its spy service to meet directly with the Taliban in secret strategy sessions to organize networks of militant groups that fight against American soldiers in Afghanistan, and even hatch plots to assassinate Afghan leaders.
Taken together, the reports indicate that American soldiers on the ground are inundated with accounts of a network of Pakistani assets and collaborators that runs from the Pakistani tribal belt along the Afghan border, through southern Afghanistan, and all the way to the capital, Kabul.
Much of the information — raw intelligence and threat assessments gathered from the field in Afghanistan— cannot be verified and likely comes from sources aligned with Afghan intelligence, which considers Pakistan an enemy, and paid informants. Some describe plots for attacks that do not appear to have taken place.

Documents made available by WikiLeaks suggest that Pakistan allows representatives of its spy service to meet directly with the Taliban in secret strategy sessions to organize networks of militant groups that fight against American soldiers in Afghanistan, and even hatch plots to assassinate Afghan leaders, The New York Times reported July 26. An Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency spokesman in Islamabad said the agency would have no comment until it saw the documents. These irresponsible leaks will not impact the ongoing commitment to deepen partnerships with Afghanistan and Pakistan, U.S. National Security Advisor Jim Jones stated, Reuters reported.

India: ISI Behind Mumbai Attack – Home Secretary
July 14, 2010
India has obtained evidence that Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) directorate played a more significant role in the planning and execution of the November 2008 Mumbai attack than had previously been thought, according to Indian Home Secretary G. K. Pillai, Indian Express reported July 14. Pillai said information gathered from interrogations of David Headley, a U.S. citizen accused of helping plan the attack, indicated the ISI had planned the attack with Lashkar-e-Taiba militant Hafiz Saeed “from beginning to end.” He added that the ISI was not a peripheral player, but was controlling and coordinating the attack, and that Saeed also knew everything about the attack.
