Minarets Political Islam Swiss

SWISS VOTE ON BAN OF MINARETS TO BE HELD TODAY…….

”The mosques are our barracks, the domes are our helmets, the minarets are our spears and the faithful are our warriors”

Projecting Islam’s political strength
is the aim in building Allah’s spears

The architectural design of the mosque tells much about what kind of political Islam influenced the designers and contractors of the building. The minaret is meant to project the political power of Islam. In contrast to a chuch tower that occasionally rings a bell or two on Sunday morning, the minaret’s purpose is to allow a Muezzin to call the faithfull to prayer five times a day.
Who in their right mind, meaning non-Muslims and many Muslims alike (yes, there are many who do not want it hear it either) would want to be woken up to the sound of some guy wailing like a banshee at five in the morning and during the day, everyday, till they’re finally forced to pick up and move because they can’t take it anymore?
The issue sounds tough for some to decide on, (especially in an age where “pseudo human rights groups” like Amnesty International lead the charge to defend the right of these anti-liberal institutions to project an even greater image for their intolerant religion, which seeks to turn us all into Muslims), but it’s not.
The Islamic ideology has not proven itself capable of entering the 21 century, and until that time, Islam needs to be sequestered until it proves itself to be compatable with the modern age, which means rejection of all the hate filled passages in its Islamic texts.  KGS

NOTE: At least in Switzerland, the people actually get to vote on such measures, that’s the beauty of direct democracy. Lets hope they vote with their common sense and vote YES.
Swiss Vote On Proposal To Ban Minarets

AP) GENEVA (al-AP) – The campaign posters are inflammatory: Minarets rising like missiles from the national flag.
A proposal championed by right-wing parties to ban minarets in Switzerland goes to a nationwide vote on Sunday in a referendum that has set off an emotional debate about national identity and stirred fears of boycotts and violent reactions from Muslim countries.
With tensions running high, the Geneva Mosque was vandalized Thursday by unidentified individuals who threw a pot of pink paint at the building’s entrance.
It was the third incident against the mosque this month: earlier, a vehicle with a loudspeaker drove through the area imitating a muezzin’s call to prayer, and vandals threw cobble stones at the building, damaging a mosaic.
Business leaders say a minaret ban would be disastrous for the Swiss economy because it could drive away wealthy Muslims who bank in Switzerland, buy the country’s luxury goods, and frequent its resorts.
The vote taps into anxieties about Muslims that have been rippling through Europe in recent years, ranging from French fears of women in body veils to Dutch alarm over the murder by a Muslim fanatic of a filmmaker who made a documentary that criticized Islam. More here.

  1. Maybe the US should try Swiss style direct democracy?

The Swiss just voted to ban minarets on mosques and this is a great exercise of their unique form of direct democracy regardless of your views on the subject. But my question is why do the Swiss get to overrule their politicians and parliament and here in the US, we don’t have that right?

Let’s bring Swiss style direct democracy to the United States so Americans can vote on the Wall Street bailouts, government health care, whether to audit or abolish the FED, or require Congress declare war before we invade another country. Read why Switzerland is free and America is not and help restore citizen control over the US government and Congress currently under control of special interests. http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig/holland9.1.1.html
