large cracks of liberalism appear in the Islamic world

An uncovered Rola Dashti (now MP)
seen pressing the flesh after her campaign victory

Political momentum is not exclusively all on the side of Islam, progress is being made in the heart of the Arab/Muslim world as well. But while there should be cause to celebrate over the election of four women in Kuwait, it will remain to be seen if the political development is a trend of better things yet to come, or just a very short lived phenomenon.Remember folks, there have been other times in Islamic history where reforms were initiated, only to see the very strong arm of Islamic fundamentalism come crashing down upon the heads of those reformers. While the Tundra Tabloids applauds the four brave females being elected to parliament in Kuwait, as well as the fact that two of them refuse their head coverings, history is far from being over. The TT will really begin to take notice of a political shift within the ME, once Islamic anti-Semitism becomes unattractive in the eyes of the average Muslim, with Mein Kampf and the Protocols of the Elders of Zion no longer topping their best seller lists.
