Dhimmitude Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabian Dress Code Imposed Upon BMI Flight Stewardesses…….

Lisa Ashton: “It’s outrageous. I’m a proud Englishwoman
and I don’t want these restrictions placed on myself.”

Totally absurd for the British airline, BMI, to impose such a thing upon their flight attendants. These dhimmified nitwits are caving into the politically correct notion that it’s better to adhere to an Islamic draconian dress wear, than to offend hyper-sensitive Muslims. This nonsense must be fought tooth and nail. KGS

BRITISH air stewardess was sacked for refusing to fly to Saudi Arabia after she was ordered to wear a traditional Islamic robe and walk behind male colleagues.
Lisa Ashton, a £15,000-a-year stewardess with BMI, was told that in public areas in Saudi Arabia she was required to wear a black robe, known as an abaya. This covers everything but the face, feet and hands. She was told to follow her male colleagues, irrespective of rank.
Ashton, 37, who was worried about security in the country, refused to fly there, claiming the instructions were discriminatory. She was sacked last April.
“It’s not the law that you have to walk behind men in Saudi Arabia, or that you have to wear an abaya, and I’m not going to be treated as a second-class citizen,” Ashton said last week.

  1. Just came across your blog by chance – Even Saudia flight attendants don't wear abayas and hijab. In fact, I've never flown on an airline in or out of Saudi where female staff do. How typical for the Brits to swing the pendulum from one extreme to the other.

  2. Thanks for stopping by Sprinkle. I can't remember how many times I heard of Muslims leaving the Muslim ME, for Europe, only to find either the same form of fundamentalism they left, or even worse.

Europe is falling back into its traditional role of a dhimmi, and are in ways, actimg more Islamic than the Muslims themselves.

  3. I work for BMI, and I have never experienced a problem with the Abaya, If you’ve noticed when walking through the terminal building we are ignored whereas the AirFrance crew, who are in skirts, are leered at quite openly for their dress. Personally I would rather wear the Abaya as Trousers are not uniform-ally provided for female staff, unless they are either ground-crew or In-flight Chefs.

Most Female staff walk ahead of the male staff also, I haven’t faced the situation of ‘having to walk behind male colleagues’ most of the time no-one really cares. They know who we are as we walk with our hats in our hands, and we’re mainly a large group of females with one or two male full-uniformed staff, and we dont have to wear the headscarf inside the Terminal building. the rules are fairly relaxed for westerners.
