Finland to Send Delegation to Durban II in Geneva…….

Finland doesn’t like sticking out from the crowd

No reason to do the right thing, we’ll just wait until a red line is crossedThe Tundra Tabloids has just heard from a very credible source that Finland is indeed planning to send a delegation to the Durban II anti-Israel conference in Geneva next month. The high placed source verified to the TT that, the only way Finland will refrain from going, is not due to the conference’s planned agenda, but only if a number of larger EU states boycott Durban II as well. So from the Vanhanen government’s perspective, what counts most is what the majority of Europe thinks and does, not that Human Rights issues are being subverted by Durban II’s agenda. The Finnish government is refusing go against the status quo, being content rather to quietly resign itself to majority rule. How quaint a policy for the Nordic humanitarians to take indeed.
