For every rocket launched from Gaza into Israel, the IAF or IDF should pummel Hamas with ten. Perhaps Jimmy Carter would also lament Hamas’ lack of defense as he did Hezbollah’s, if Israel ever enacted such a policy, but who cares what he thinks?
J’lem Post: Just days after the cabinet gave the military final approval to counter ongoing Palestinian rocket fire against communities in the western Negev, the IDF launched a massive operation, striking Hamas installations throughout the Gaza Strip on Saturday.
A Hamas spokesperson said that at least 150 people were killed in the attacks. Gaza health official Moawiya Hassanain said earlier that over 120 people were killed, and at least 200 injured.
The Jerusalem Post could not confirm either report. According to witnesses, among the killed was Hamas police chief Maj.-Gen. Tawfik Jaber. Despite the massive casualties, Hamas remained defiant, vowing revenge and calling on all other Palestinian factions to join in the fight.
The bleeding heart Left will soon be whining about Israel’s supposed disproportionate use of force, I guarantee it. KGS
UPDATE: France: President Nicolas Sarkozy went further in his criticism calling Israel’s reaction to Hamas’s provocations “disproportionate.”
OK, it came from the Right, so I was a bit off, but then again, there is little difference between Right and Left in France.
