  1. To me, the problematic part has nothing to do with which candidate the teacher supported or what her position was on the war, but the fact that she effectively used her position to influence the positions of her students rather than encourage them to use their own minds.

Remembering my own time as a student, I had some excellent teachers who, while often letting the students know their positions, encouraged students to disagree. We had some stimulating discussions in classes. That was fine. That was also done at higher levels; what this teacher did was the opposite and was done at an elementary level, making it completely inappropriate.

  4. If this is an example of teachers in this school district, Supt. Harrison has reason for concern. Not just because of her inexcusable behavior in humiliating the young students, but in her utter lack of proper English! If our students learn by example – and they do – the ones in THIS class are in a heap of hurt!

Oh, but isn’t Bill Ayers setting up just such educational systems with the support of our new President-Elect? Hmmmmmmmmm.

“What is known as ‘free education’ is the least free of all, for it is a state-owned institution; it is socialized education – just like socialized medicine or the socialized post office – and cannot possibly be separated from political control.” ~Frank Chodorov~
