Obama Backtracks on Jerusalem Statement…….

Blogging from the Italian Eastern seaboard, in Pesaro, the TT came across this hot one, Senator B.Hussein Obama backtracks on his intial statement of support for an undivided Jerusalem, the capital of the Jewish state of Israel.

J’lem Post: In his first major speech minutes after clinching the Democrat nomination as the party’s candidate for the US presidential election, Barack Obama surprised listeners at an AIPAC convention by saying Jerusalem should be Israel’s “undivided” capital. However, the Illinois senator retracted his comments on Sunday, saying that they were “badly phrased.

You know, the truth is that this was an example where we had some poor phrasing in the speech, and we immediately tried to correct the interpretation that was given,” Obama said during an interview on CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria – GPS.”

“The point we were simply making was that we don’t want barbed wire running through Jerusalem, similar to the way it was prior to the ’67 war, that it is possible for us to create a Jerusalem that is cohesive and coherent. I was not trying to predetermine what are essentially final-status issues,” he continued.

He (B.Hussein Obama) was never serious with his committment to Israeli sovereignty over its own capital, which shows what Israel is in for if the senator is elected to the nation’s highest office. They can expect more of the same kind of back stabbing, but on a regular basis. Perhaps that’s the reason why Olmert is in such a hurry to reach any kind of agreement with the Syrians and the PA president, Mahmoud Abbas. *L* KGS

OK,…now back to the sand and surf! KGS

  1. How about what we are in for if Obama is elected? Even reading the blogs that have the best understanding of the reality of Obama I sense little conscience of the nightmare of an Obama presidency. Note that Obama will likely have a Democrat veto proof congress which will lead America on a rapid descent into dhimmitude, as Bat Ye’or has stated, even faster than Europe. Be prepared to be very unhappy.
