Bush Entertained UAE Crown Prince, Brother Of Sadistic Torturer of Fellow Texan…….

While the UAE’s crown prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was being hosted by the US president at Camp David, his brother, Sheik Issa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan was -and still is- being sued for the false imprisonment and torture of Texas businessman Bassam Nabulsi.
WASHINGTONAs a trusted adviser to a member of the ruling family of the United Arab Emirates, Texas businessman Bassam Nabulsi says he safeguarded the sheik’s most important documents: financial records, investment documents, and videotapes showing the sheik torturing people with a cattle prod and a spiked plank.
When the business relationship began to deteriorate, Nabulsi says, he also was imprisoned for months and tortured by jailers trying to get the tapes back. Now, the tapes could become evidence in a federal lawsuit against Sheik Issa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a son of the late UAE president and brother of Abu Dhabi’s crown prince. By custom, a member of the Al Nahyan royal family serves as president of the UAE. The lawsuit and the tapes could prove embarrassing to the UAE, a U.S. ally that promotes itself as a pro-Western nation catering to business travelers and tourists.
Now that’s a real fly in the ointment. The US is hosting the brother of a cruel and sadistic torturer who had tortured a fellow a US citizen, and a fellow Texan to boot. When it comes to torture, the US’s water boarding of a handful of prisoners under a very controlled environment, pales in comparison to a man having a cattle prod forced up his anus and given a full charge. Come on.
This was all done for having bettered the sheik in a grain deal, and speaks of how wide the practice of torture is used in the Arab Middle East. It must certainly have pained the Texan to see his fellow Texan president riding around in a golf cart with the brother of the man that tortured him. But the UAE is an ally! Really! *L* KGS
