UN Sec-Gen Utters Nonsense Against Israel With His Islamic Buds…….

From the bowels of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference summit, Ban Ki Moon condemns Israel’s use of force against the Palestinians in Gaza.

DAKAR (AFP) – “UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Thursday condemned Israel’s attacks on Palestinian civilians in a speech to a summit of Muslim leaders here.

Ban said Israel had employed “inappropriate and disproportionate use of force” in its renewed attacks on the Palestinian territories and called for an immediate ceasefire by both sides. Highlighting the deaths of women and children in the Israeli attacks he said, “I condemn these acts and call on Israel to cease them” in his speech to the Organisation of the Islamic Conference summit.”

Here again the highly questionable term of inappropriate and disproportionate use of power is used to describe Israel’s military actions against Palestinian terrorism. Since there is never an attempt to describe what an appropriate and proportionate use of power would actually be, the TT is left to conclude that (a) Ban Ki Moon doesn’t have a clue as to what would be the right response to Arab terrorist provocations or (b) knows that Israel actions are well within the guidelines of internal law and is therefor justified, but wants to please the Arab block within the UN.

It’s statements such as these -that can’t be buttressed by any reading of international law- that makes world statesmen such as the UN Sec-Gen, Ban Ki Moon, into utter fools, and seen as pandering to totally unreasonable political entities such as the OIC. Of course Israel has a right to act against hostile forces, and though Israel takes extreme caution in limiting its force to those who are acting against the Jewish state, it doesn’t mean that civilians will not be hurt.

International law recognizes that civilians may become part of the conflict, and in spite of the sadness of such a scenario, civilian casualties, international law does not negate military actions that might produce unfortunate victims form the civilian population. The onus for such tragedies rest with the side that initiates the violence, especially when they hide themselves, and operate from, within civilian population centers.

Ban Ki Moon is just appeasing the crowd to whom he was addressing. In short, he being a stooge for the Organization of Islamic Conference. More here. *L* LGS
