Today marks the 500th day since the kidnapping of Gilad Shalit by the Palestinian terrorist group, Popular Resistance Committees. The spokesman for its military wing, Salah al-Din Brigades, does not offer any hope that for Shalit’s return any time soon.
“According to the spokesman, Abu Mujahed, no progress has been made in the talks for Shalit’s release over the past six months. “It appears that the Israelis want us to kidnap more soldiers to get things moving,” he warned.”
The terrorists’ demand for Gilad Shalit’s safe return, the release of 1400 Palestinian terrorists & criminals from Israeli prisons. As much as I am in sympathy with both Shalit and his family, the letting go of hundreds of Palestinian terrorists will only result in the kidnapping of more Israeli soldiers.
Personally, I just don’t see the repetitious cycle of “Israel emptying its prisons only to see more Israelis being snatched by Palestinian thugs”, as a sound policy for the Jewish state to continue with. More here. *L* KGS
