Ashkan Dejagah’s future on Germany’s national football team is relegated to the ash heap of history. The Iranian foot ball player who refused to play against the Israeli team has been suspended, and most likely won’t allowed to join the team’s roster in the future.
According to Dejagah, his decision not to play in Israel stems from his fear of what could happen to his family in Iran if he were to play in the Jewish state. Regardless of whether this is true or not, individual players can’t boycott states for personal or political reasons.
In other words, tough luck Ash Can. More here. *L* KGS
