Finnish News Media Can’t Help Its Anti-Israel Bias…….

Even when Israel is the victim of an unprovoked attack, Finland’s state news agency, YLE, can’t help but make Israel the aggressor in its headlines. Staying true to form, Finland’s YLE chooses to paint Israel as the active/aggressive party in the headline to its report:

“Israelin pääministeri uhkaili Hamasia / Israeli prime minister threatens Hamas”.

The latest outrage involves a series of qassam rocket and grenade attacks by Hamas against the Israeli city of Sderot, with the barrage striking dangerously close to a children’s’ daycare center. Fortunately no one was killed, but:

“Twelve children suffered from shock after the strike on the southern town, and were evacuated to Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon for treatment.”

The information about the children suffering from shock was “somehow” left out from their report.

Solomonia has the URL link to the video, available on the Hebrew version of Ynet. This is not a mere oversight, but an institutionalized policy to consistently cast Israel in the worst possible light whenever possible. Finland’s YLE is not unlike the BBC, both being heavily funded by the taxpayer…..and very anti-Israel. *L* KGS

“I’m not surprised. When the British journalist’s union is willing to violate the most basic principles of journalistic ethics to take sides in a political dispute – and not just take sides but to side with terrorists against a democracy striving to achieve peace while saving the lives of its citizens, no amount of biased reporting on the Arab-Israeli conflict is surprising anymore.

But such bias should still be condemned! Thanks for pointing this out. “
