Iranian Forces Being Choppered Over Iraqi Border…….

Iran has been caught shuttling its forces back and forth across its border with Iraq, creating a “casus belli” that is occurring on a regular basis.

Our Boys picked up the Iranian helicopters on radar crossing into empty desert.
The sightings have been confirmed to The Sun by very senior military sources.

Iran has been involved in supplying weapons and explosives to both sides of the insurgency that is waging a terrorist war inside Iraq for some time now. Whether Sunni or Shi’ia, Iran seeks to ensure that the blood letting continues, regardless of the cost to human life for all sides concerned.

Any talk of Iraq becoming another Iranian style Shi’ia Islamist state, that will become a “fifth pillar” of Iran’s foreign policy for the region, cannot be taken seriously, at least for the present moment.

The majority of Shi’ia leaders in Iraq practice a different brand of Shi’iism that eschews politics, and the majority of Iraq’s Shi’ites who follow their revered leader, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Husaini al-Sistani are not pleased with their Iranian coreligionists for supplying the Sunni terrorists with weapons and explosives that are killing their people.

But one troubling sign is al-Sistani’s increasing marginalization, his power is slipping and Iran is feeding the conflict as much as possible to keep the violence at a steady pace.

“It is an extremely alarming development and raises the stakes considerably. In effect, it means we are in a full on war with Iran — but nobody has officially declared it.“We have hard proof that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps have crossed the border to attack us.”

The only solution as I see it (short of war), is for the international community to tighten the sanctions on Iran, with an option to blockade its ports from receiving any additional petrol it imports from the neighboring states. Iran’s economy is in tatters, with its oil industry infrastructure barely meeting its daily demand. Any real pressure applied by the IC will have an impact on its society. The only question is whether any real collective will can be found to apply the pressure? More here. *L* KGS
