Its no secret that billions of dollars of aid meant for the rebuilding of the Palestinian infrastructure, has been squandered by their leaders. International aid (the EU is a major contributor) that could have been spent on public services and city planning, was routinely diverted by those who were entrusted with their welfare. Whether diverted to offshore accounts, invested in luxurious homes or foreign boarding schools by the Palestinians’ political elite, its very clear that over 10 billion dollars of aid money (more than the Marshall plan spent on Europe after WWII) has not benefited their society.
Throwing more good money after bad will not help the Palestinians nor other deserving trouble spots around the world, as many African countries are forced to do with less, while the Palestinians demand more. Read more about it here. KGS
