Another Victory In The War On Islamist Extremism……?

”Pakistani Military Sources Say Zawahiri May Be Dead”
Al-Qaida is on the run. Its leaders are being confined to rocky enclaves in the outer regions of Pakistan, passing messages verbally (not the most effective way to conduct a war) to its commander in Iraq, Al-Zarqawi, while its top leadership is being picked off one by one. There is even word of hope that Osama Bin-Laden has already died in Iran.

Things for AQ’s top dog in Iraq, seem to be going south as well. Seems that the Islamists have committed gross errors of judgement in killing off anyone who doesn’t share their point of view….even within the Sunni community. Now the local rebels have begun to wake up and smell the tahina, and realize that the head chopping foreigners don’t have their best interests as heart. The ‘insurgency’ is destined for failure.

”Jan. 13, 2006 — Today, according to Pakistani military sources, U.S. aircraft attacked a compound known to be frequented by high-level al Qaeda operatives. Pakistani officials tell ABC News that al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden’s top lieutenant, may have been among them. U.S. intelligence for the last few days indicated that Zawahiri might have been in the location or about to arrive, although there is still no confirmation from U.S. officials that he was among the victims.”

It also appears that the Lebanese are joining in on the war against Islamist Extremism, with the recent capture of a terrorist shipment of weapons on board a ship heading for Naher Al Bard – a nearby Palestinian refugee camp. Better late than never. KGS
